Sing a Bit of Harmony is an original slice-of-life comedy anime movie. The story takes place in a small Japanese town that is used as a testing zone for AI technology. Satomi, the daughter of an AI researcher, is a quiet and closed-off high school girl. However, when her mother’s latest project – an AI girl indistinguishable from humans – arrives at her school, it is adamant about making Satomi happy, often with comical consequences. The film, first released in 2021, is created by Yasuhiro Yoshiura, who previously made Patema Inverted and Time of Eve. Sing a Bit of Harmony has won awards at film festivals around the world and was nominated for the Japan Academy Film Prize for Animation of the Year in 2022.
Will Sing a Bit of Harmony Be on Crunchyroll?
Yes, Crunchyroll has confirmed that Sing a Bit of Harmony will be arriving on the streaming service. Crunchyroll announced at their 2022 Expo that Sing a Bit of Harmony, along with some other films including Jujutsu Kaisen 0, will be arriving on the platform throughout August and September. Sing a Bit of Harmony was always expected to end up on Crunchyroll. The film was co-produced by Funimation, who also managed some of the international distribution. Funimation has since merged with Crunchyroll. The announcement by Crunchyroll does caveat for differences in regional availability. However, Sing a Bit of Harmony should be available in most English-speaking regions outside of Asia, as Funimation distributed the cinema release in most of these locations.
Sing a Bit of Harmony Crunchyroll Release Date
Sing a Bit of Harmony is expected to arrive on Crunchyroll on Thursday, August 25th. However, that is subject to change. There is no word on a specific time that Sing a Bit of Harmony will arrive on Crunchyroll on that date. However, we estimated it will be sometime in the morning Pacific Time, as Crunchyroll is headquartered in Los Angeles. Netflix, also based in California, release their titles at 12 AM Pacific Time on the release date, according to their website. According to the announcement, both subbed and dubbed versions of the film will be available on Crunchyroll from this date.
