One of the streaming giant’s latest releases is a rom-com that features the comeback of one of the heartthrobs from the late 1990s. Freddie Prinze Jr. returns as Miguel, a widowed music teacher with a 14-year-old daughter, in Christmas With You. Miguel meets a pop star named Angelina Costa (played by Aimee Garcia), who decides to surprise his daughter, Cristina (played by Deja Monique Cruz) as she seeks for inspiration for a new song. And in true holiday fashion, Miguel and Angelina fall in love with each other in this lighthearted drama. We can’t help but wonder where they filmed their scenes in the movie. Here’s what we know about their filming locations:
New York City
Christmas With You mainly focuses on two themes for its filming location: a city scene and a small town scene. Most of Angelina’s scenes were shot in New York City since her record label is in the city. As confirmed by Distractify, a number of these scenes were shot across Manhattan. We can even see the skyline of NYC so it’s possible they filmed from Midtown to Washington Heights.
United Palace in Washington Heights
The movie also features some scenes that were shot in the United Palace in Washington Heights. The theater is almost 100 years old yet continues to be the largest and most impressive in Manhattan. In the movie, this is where Angelina performs her new song while Miguel plays the piano in front of a crowded theater.
Upstate New York
The film implies that Miguel and his daughter are from upstate New York. But unfortunately, a specific town was never mentioned throughout the film. One theory about this is because Cristina and Miguel were able to get to Angelina’s concert in Washinton Heights by a car. This makes it possible that the two live somewhere in Hudson Valley.
