The Santa Clauses Release Date
Disney revealed the big news during its D23 2022 event. Along with this announcement, they released the first-look trailer for The Santa Clauses. The limited series is set to premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Upon its premiere, the show will release the first two episodes on that date. After that, the succeeding episodes will be released weekly. The show’s IMDB page reveals that there will be a total of 5 episodes.
What is The Santa Clauses Story About?
The official logline of the show reads: “On the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family whou could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing hsi family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.” Played by the original actor who has been in all the previous The Santa Clause movies, the fourth installment focuses on Scott Calvin (played by Tim Allen)’s hunt for his successor.
The Santa Clauses Cast: Who’ll Be Back?
Most of the major actors in the film franchise will be back to reprise their roles in the Disney+ series. To start off, the original actor behind the role of Scott Calvin, Tim Allen, has confirmed reprising his role. He has been part of all three films: The Santa Clause, The Santa Clause 2, and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. In addition to being the main protagonist, he serves as executive producer in the series. Elizabeth Mitchell has also been confirmed to return for her role as Mrs. Carol Clause. At the end of the last film, Carol gave birth to a son whom they named Buddy. Joining the show for the first time is Elizabeth Allen-Dick, who’ll play the role of Sandra. Just like her role in the series, Allen-Dick is the daughter of Tim Allen.
In July 27, it was reported that David Krumholtz will also be returning for the series for his role as Bernard, the Head Elf in the first two movies. The actor turned to his Instagram account to make the big announcement: “YOU, THE FANS 100% MADE THIS HAPPEN! THANK YOU!! Woohoo!”
He also shared a video of himself getting into character with the caption: “Couldn’t be more proud to add another chapter to my “The Santa Clause” career this fall in “THE SANTA CLAUSES” on @disneyplus . I think you’re going to love it! I loved every minute of revisiting this character, including this moment, when the hair team pinned my wig on for the first time. Tune in!”
The other actors included in the previous films that have not yet been confirmed to return include Eric Lloyd (as Charlie Calvin) and Spencer Breslin (as Curtis the Elf). The full list of actors joining the series include:

Is There a The Santa Clauses Trailer?
