If you don’t know what this show is, it is a French CGI animated series that premiered in 2015. The show’s actual title is Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir and used to be licensed by Nickelodeon until 2016. Its rights were then transferred to KidsClick from 2017 to 2019 until it shut down. This was also the time that Netflix picked up the adventure series and started airing the first three seasons. The Miraculous Ladybug Season 4 got released in the US in June 2021. And now, many are wondering if there will be a Miraculous Ladybug Season 5. Here is what we know about the show right now: While it has been confirmed that a season 5 of Miraculous Ladybug is in the works, we also know that the show will no longer be aired on Netflix. This is because Disney acquired the rights to Miraculous Ladybug Season 5. Because of this, the show will not be available on Netflix. Once the fifth season airs, it will be exclusively available on Disney+. Unfortunately, the release date of the show has not yet been announced yet. But there are reports that believe the show will be released in the summer of 2022. This, however, might not be a US release date since the show usually releases first in France. But now that Disney has rights to it, that could change. We’ll update this post once a release date has been announced. As revealed by the show’s producer, Jeremy Zag, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir has been renewed for seasons six and seven. The announcement was made at CCXPWorlds. There’s no timeline for these two seasons for now but at least it’s a confirmation that there is something to look forward to. It’s also unknown how long these two seasons will be. Miraculous Ladybug Season 5 will follow the format of the earlier seasons, which have 26 episodes. Since Miraculous Ladybug is a CGI film, we won’t likely see the actors in the show. But if you’re familiar with their voices, you might recognize one or two. Here is the list of the cast of the show for the English version:
Cristina Vee (as Ladybug/Marinette Dupain-Cheng)Bryce Papenbrook (as Cat Noir/Adrien Agreste)Mela Lee (as Tikki)Max Mittelman (as Plagg)Keith Silverstein (as Hawk Moth/Gabriel Agreste)Paul St. Peter (as Master Wang Fu)
The adventure story shows two seemingly normal Parisian teens, Marinette Dupain-Cheng (voiced by Cristina Vee) and Adrien Agreste (voiced by Bryce Papenbrook). But once Master Wang Fu gives them magical gems, they turn into superheroes known as Ladybug and Cat Noir, respectively. Both, however, don’t know each other’s secret identities. To make things interesting, Marinette has a crush on Adrien. When Miraculous Ladybug Season 4 ended, we learned that the main enemy, Hawk Moth (played by Keith Silverstein), has taken over most of the supernatural phenomena. As a result, the other superheroes are more vulnerable now. And this is what we might expect to see in season 5. Ladybug and Cat Noir will be working together to reclaim the stolen miracle. And in the process, they hope to prevent their enemy from causing more damage. As of this writing, there is no trailer available yet for Miraculous Ladybug Season 5. But we’re looking forward to seeing a teaser of the series, especially since reports believe the show will be released in summer 2022. We’ll be sure to update this post once a trailer becomes available. In the meantime, you can watch the Miraculous Ladybug Season 4 trailer here. The show is exclusively available on Disney+.
