Hugh Jackman Ready To Come Back As Wolverine In Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 Movie?
Reynolds and Jackman have been teasing each other on social media, promoting their faux feud for years. But in reality, the two celebrities are good friends. After over five years, Jackman eventually gave in to Reynolds’ nudging. “I’ve been asking him to do it for six straight years,” the Just Friends star told Entertainment Tonight. However, he had a change of heart five years later. “A little part of me now thinks I’d be better at it,” Jackman told Variety in October 2022. “Is that arrogance of age or something? Wolverine’s a tortured character — more tortured than me. But I always get the feeling of him being comfortable in his own skin. And I feel more comfortable in my own skin now, even though it’s messier.” ALSO READ: Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Ignored During Low-Key Dinner in California? What Are The Challenges In Adding Hugh Jackman As Wolverine In Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3?
Although the Marvel Studios co-president was very welcoming of Jackman as Wolverine, Feige had to cut through some red tape. After all, X-Men hasn’t been introduced to Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The Avengers live in Disney-owned MCU, produced by Marvel Studios, while the mutants previously lived in 20th Century Fox’s X-Men universe. However, since Disney owns Fox, it will be easy to merge both universes. Deadpool can now exist alongside the Avengers. “It’s not like adding Hugh Jackman to a movie like this is a hard sell. It’s an immediate and emphatic, unqualified yes,” Reynolds told Collider about the challenges in adding Wolverine to his film. “It’s a lot of moving parts and Fox and X-Men and all that kind of stuff that Marvel needs to sort through. A lot of red tape in order to make that happen. And they did it.” YOU MIGHT LIKE: Queen Mother Would Be Horrified of Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Oprah Interview?
