READ MORE: Wednesday Scores Highest on Rotten Tomatoes Since 1960’s Addams Family TV Series
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wednesday has beat its own record after its twelve-day debut on Netflix. As for the week of November 28 to December 4, the Jenna Ortega-led show had garnered 411.29 million hours of viewership.
While this means Wednesday has become the first English-language series on the streaming site to pass 400 million viewership hours in a week, the show has also ranked No. 3 on the all-time chart for English language series. Now earning 752.52 million streaming hours, Wednesday is likely to top Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (No. 2) and Stranger Things Season 4 (No. 1) anytime soon, should this keep up. In fact, Wednesday had already beat its previous Addams Family adaptation records, which gives the series a higher chance at succeeding in this once again.

Starring Jenna Ortega as the titular character, Wednesday revolves around the Addams Family adventure with the show focusing its spotlight on the macabre as a teenager instead of the previous adaptations where we see Christina Ricci sporting the gothic get-up in 1991’s The Addams Family and in 1993’s The Addams Family Values.
One of the very reasons this show has been succeeding is not only watching Wednesday Addams as a teenager trying to ‘fit in’ the school for outcasts named Nevermore Academy, but along with the attempt of Wednesday to mark her own path, apart from what her parents expect her to be.
You can catch all three shows currently streaming on Netflix.
