Speaking with Variety, when asked whether showrunners have an outline prepared in case of a renewal for a second season, Millar was quick to address how much can potentially change and evolve, but as long as the idea of the story remains in which they can keep it going for multiple seasons, it would suffice. It is relieving to know that we could potentially be getting more than a season 2 for Wednesday. This second season can open up new opportunities for the show, like new ‘big bads’ and new characters to add to the cast list. Either way, we’ll be surely seeing more of Wednesday and the Addams family again.

Previously, Millar also talked about one other potential storyline for Wednesday Season 2 with TVLine. Aside from having a closer look at the Addams family as a whole, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzman (Gomez Addams), and Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), the showrunner teases a more in-depth development among newfound friends.
