According to Production Weekly (via CBR.com), not only have they tapped on Wednesday director Gandja Monteiro, who helmed Episodes 5 and 6 of the Netflix series, but Agatha: Coven of Chaos is now expected to officially begin in the first week of January! It is currently unclear how many episodes Monteiro will be heading on the Agatha spinoff, but WandaVision’s creator and head writer Jac Schaeffer was listed as part of the creative personnel, too.

While plot details are being kept under wraps for Agatha: Coven of Chaos, it is safe to assume that the spinoff will occur right after the events of WandaVision, with the series seemingly being set again in Westview. Agatha will have been freed from Wanda’s sitcom-persona spell and end up joining a new Coven of Witches to be led by Aubrey Plaza’s mysterious character.
Additionally, Billy will also be returning to the series. While Billy won’t be played by Julian Hillard seeing as the character will be aged up as a teen, reports state that Heartstopper’s Joe Locke will be playing the teenager version, who will eventually become the Wiccan in the MCU. Wiccan is a member of the Young Avengers who is also known as Billy Kaplan.
Meanwhile, you can watch all episodes of Wednesday on Netflix, with Agatha: Coven of Chaos currently slated for release on Disney+ in early January.
