In light of the cancelation of several film and television projects, as well as the delay of upcoming flicks like The Flash, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, reports claim that the merger is devising a 10-year plan that will turn things around for the DCEU.A few weeks back, it was reported by numerous sources that WB producer Dan Lin is the frontrunner to become the new chief of DC Films as the polarizing Walter Hamada is gearing up to step down from the role after the release of Black Adam next month. Lin has apparently long been vying for the position and while it seemed like it was finally in his grasp, CNBC is now reporting that negotiations between him and WB Discovery have ended and as it stands, he won’t be the one to oversee DC Comics’ film and TV unit contrary to previous reports.Also Read: DC Films’ Rumored New Boss Once Mocked Zack Snyder FansHamada’s official replacement has yet to be announced but it’s worth mentioning that apart from Lin, names like Amy Pascal, Matt Tolmach, Sean Bailey, Greg Berlanti, and even Joker director Todd Phillips were considered for the executive role. It looks like Zaslav and crew are going back to the drawing board but it’s quite intriguing why talks with Lin suddenly fizzled out.Meanwhile, DC’s Black Adam is still on track to release in theaters on October 21, 2022.
