Over the last two years, there has been major speculation surrounding the identity of the next Black Panther and while the choice seemed to be like a no-brainer, other names like Nakia, M’Baku, and even Killmonger surfaced as prime candidates for the role.In an interview with Marvel.com, producer Nate Moore said that Shuri becoming the new Wakandan hero made absolute sense storywise, adding that they knew she could carry the part. Moore explains: “[Shuri] just felt like the most organic storytelling choice. We had a performer that we knew could carry that if she agreed to do it.
