After the Bumblebee spin-off in 2018, Optimus Prime is set to get the G1 treatment with his design, going old-school, much to the excitement of the fans, as he banners Transformers: Rise of the Beasts in its official teaser released at CCXP in Brazil. The teaser of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts introduce to the live-action franchise the Maximals and Predacons which is a sub-faction of the transform armies that becomes giant metallic animals and the two groups are against each other, battling at scenic places like Brooklyn, and Machu Picchu, Peru. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will go deep in the roots of the Autobots team on Earth as it will see their origins where it would be shown why Optimus Prime, who will don his original G1 design, really wanted to protect Earth. As per the teaser of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the Terrorcons will also be present. They are a group of Decepticons which transform into monsters straight from anyone’s nightmares.

Given that the events of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is happening before the very first Transformers film, it could easily be said that the upcoming movie could be a soft reboot as it takes everyone back to where it all started. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be starring Anthony Ramos, Luna Lauren Vélez, and Dominique Fishback with the voices of Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, Michelle Yeoh as Airazor, and Pete Davidson as Autobot Mirage. New cast members include Peter Dinklage as Scourge, Liza Koshya s Arcee, John DiMaggio as Stratosphere, David Sobolov as Rhinox, Michaela Jae Rodriquez as Nightbird, Cristo Fernández as Wheeljack, and Tobe Nwigwe as Reek. The film would be a joint-venture production of eOne and Paramount Pictures. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be directed by Steven Caple Jr., and written by James Vanderbilt, and Joby Harold. Transformers: Rise of the Beast is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 9, 2023.
