The second Tomb Raider movie was confirmed a long time ago and was even expected to begin production back in 2019. However, things have changed due to COVID-19 and Misha Green was brought in to work on the sequel. Not surprisingly, the two have been discussing their plans for the film.
“It’s so much fun on the Zooms I’ve had with Misha to finally sit with another woman my own age. I get to talk about big action set pieces and stunts that we want to make. I’m hoping that we get on track and get to do something together,” Vikander previously said.
So far, Vikander and Green are the only names attached to Tomb Raider 2. However, Green has already started working on the screenplay and has given it the tentative title Tomb Raider: Obsidian. Hopefully, we’ll get more news about the sequel soon.
