Henry Cavill recently took to his official Instagram account to confirm the news, revealing that he will not be returning as Superman. “My turn to wear the cape has passed, but what Superman stands for never will,” Cavill wrote, adding that “it’s been a fun ride with you all, onwards and upwards.” It’s certainly devastating for those who were expecting Henry Cavill to appear in more DC projects as the Man of Steel. Still, it wasn’t a surprise when fans began pointing out that now that he’s free, Cavill should return as Geralt of Rivia in the fourth season of The Witcher.
At this point, it is unlikely that Cavill will be brought back in The Witcher after his highly publicized exit from the Netflix show. In addition to that, it has been officially announced that Liam Hemsworth will be taking over the role in The Witcher Season 4. For now, it is unclear whether Henry Cavill has other projects lined up without Man of Steel 2 and The Witcher.
