Noticing New The Walking Dead Walker Species
Jerry (Cooper Andrews) felt something weird when he, Aaron (Ross Marquand), Lydia (Cassady McClincy), and Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari) encountered a new walker that seemed to know how to think. It showed a not-so-common behavior compared to other walkers, making them think it was a mutation of some kind or an evolution. The Variant Walkers’ Appearances
The variant was first seen as a part of the herd of zombies on the road to Oceanside. This type is more alert and aware of the food’s presence. They can climb the wall, unlock a gate, and unleash a herd of walkers inside the walls. They also know how to avoid any weapon, turn a doorknob, climb the ladder, and use a rock as a weapon. Variant was first seen in the series’ pilot episode. The show first introduced two different types of walkers: Variant and Roamers. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) saw a little girl pick a teddy up from beneath the car at the Georgia gas station. When the kid turned around, he noticed it was a walker and killed her with a bullet to the head.
