It took months but all the wait is worth it as it has been confirmed that The Sandman is renewed for Season 2 which means more stories about Morpheus and the Endless will be coming to the screens. An accidental leak in a now deleted tweet by DC Comics on their official page has led to the confirmation of the renewal status of The Sandman Season 2 which is later announced by Neil Gaiman and Netflix. This came out following the rumors of the cancellation of the series that Gaiman called out on Twitter. Neil Gaiman personally confirmed the news on Twitter saying, “The rumours are true. Netflix is thrilled that so many of you have been watching Sandman, and the thing we were all hoping would happen… has indeed happened…” The Sandman was released on Netflix last August and in a month on the streaming platform, it got almost 330 million hours watched, making it one of the most-watched series this year.
