The fifth season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has no official release date yet. The earlier seasons of the series do not seem to follow a release date pattern, so we just have to wait for the announcement when season 5 will come out. Based on the show’s current activity, we theorize that the season will arrive by late 2022 or early 2023.

Since Mrs. Maisel has started filming, we already have an idea who will be returning and who will be joining the series cast for the fifth season.
Midge, Susie, and The Other Marvelous Cast
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will not be the same without Rachel Brosnahan. Thankfully, she will be returning to play the series’ lead role. Alex Borstein will also return to the show as Susie, Midge’s best friend/manager. We will also see Marin Hinkle and Tony Shalhoub return as Midge’s parents Rose and Abe. Michael Zegen will also return to play Midge’s husband Joel, with whom he shares a rather complicated relationship. Joel’s parents, Shirley and Moishe, will still be played by Caroline Aaron and Kevin Pollak. Luke Kirby, who plays Lenny Bruce, and Jane Lynch, who plays Sophie Lennon, may return for season 5 as well.
Newcomers on Stage with Mrs. Maisel
Milo Ventimiglia (from This Is Us) was filming on New York City streets for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 5. He first appeared as a mystery man in season 4 who caught Midge’s attention but had a falling out after they slept together but were interrupted by his wife. This next season may show us Midge reconnecting with Milo’s character. Another new face joining the series is Kelly Bishop from Gilmore Girls, who may play a more significant part in the series.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was written and created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, who will also direct the series. The other directors involved are Daniel Palladino and Scott Ellis.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 Plot: What Will be the Plot of the Fifth Season?
Throughout the fourth season, Midge takes over an illegal strip club and renovates it. Things turn for the worse when the club is raided, and Midge is left to start from scratch. Lenny Bruce offers her to open for him at the Carnegie Hall, but she turns him down. They later on reconcile. By the end of the fourth season, we watch Midge leave Carnegie Hall in the middle of a snowstorm after arguing with Lenny. The fifth season may tie up some loose ends. We may see who Midge will end up with, choosing between Benjamin, Lenny, Joel, and the mysterious, handsome man she met in season 4. The final season may also show us what happens to Lenny, based on a real-life comedian who died from a drug overdose at the age of 40 in 1966. The final season may also reveal what happens to the club and where Midge’s career ends.
