Of course, that hasn’t stopped tipsters and several outlets from coming up with rumors surrounding the MCU’s mutant roster and it turns out that The Little Mermaid star Halle Bailey is also reportedly joining the reboot as beloved character Kitty Pryde. Twitter user @BaileyUnspoken shared a link to a Variety article claiming that the outlet reported about Halle’s casting as the mutant with phasing abilities. In the outlet’s defense, nothing about the singer-actress’ supposed casting was ever mentioned in the write-up so we’re not entirely sure where the assumption came from.The viral tweet caught the attention of the 22-year-old rising star and she quickly debunked the said post. “this is not true lmao”, she wrote.
