According to One Take News, veteran actor Clancy Brown has joined the cast of Gen V. However, the details regarding the role that he is playing in the spinoff series are being kept under wraps at the moment. He is expected to appear in at least one episode and possibly more. The cast already includes Jaz Sinclair, Lizzie Broadway, Chance Perdomo, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Shelley Conn, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi. Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as the showrunners of the series.
Set in a Vought International-owned college exclusively for young superheroes, Gen V is described as “an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It’s part college show, part Hunger Games - with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.” Brown is known for his roles in films such as Highlander, The Shawshank Redemption, and Starship Troopers. However, a lot of people will recognize him as the voice of Mr. Krabs in Spongebob Squarepants, and has done voice-over works in both DC and Marvel projects including Lex Luthor in Superman: The Animated Series and Surtur in Thor: Ragnarok.
