Several set photos from the filming of the third season of Superman & Lois are currently surfacing online revealing that Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of Steel will be donning a new suit when the show returns. The most notable change is the suit’s toned-down color and S-shield is more raised up than in the previous iterations. You can check the photo below courtesy of Twitter user @PagmystYT:
So far, no details have been provided regarding the reason behind the change in the suit in the upcoming season. However, it’s not an unusual move for them to do since other DC shows on The CW have done major costume changes to the main heroes whenever a new season comes. The responses to the costume change have been mostly positive as some fans deemed it as an improvement from the ones in the previous seasons. It would be curious to see how the third season premiere will bring up this new tweaking on the suit. While the details for the third season have been mostly under wraps, the series recently cast The Orville star Chad L. Coleman to play the villain. David Ramsey also teased that John Diggle’s Green Lantern from the Arrowverse shows arc might be addressed in the series although there hasn’t been any confirmation that he will return in the third season.
