We published a report yesterday (via ComicBookMovie) about Marvel Studios allegedly courting the Jaws, E.T., and Jurassic Park filmmaker to direct the said project and while the idea seems a little too farfetched to believe, a lot of people bought into the rumor mill.We hate to break it to you though because Spielberg’s rumored involvement in the MCU is actually false. According to Variety’s Senior Entertainment Writer Adam Vary, there’s no truth to the “wildly implausible” rumor. Vary’s report is seemingly supported by a leak shared by Inverse which claims Marvel has yet to find the project’s director.
