Charlie Barnett is best known for his role as Zaveri in Netflix’s Russian Doll where he tries to get out of a time loop alongside Natasha Lyonne’s Nadia Vulvokov. Now, Barnett seems to be coming into the galaxy far, far away as he is currently under negotiations for a supporting role in Star Wars: The Acolyte. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the casting of Charlie Barnett for Star Wars: The Acolyte is now under final negotiations for a supporting role though details around it remains under wraps. Should Barnett be pushing through with Star Wars: The Acolyte, he will be reuniting with Leslye Headland, the co-creator of Russian Doll who has been tapped as the director, writer, and showrunner of Star Wars: The Acolyte.

Star Wars: The Acolyte, officially announced in 2020, will reportedly be a female-centric live-action mystery thriller series which will be set around 100 years before The Phantom Menace about the time of the late High Republic Era. Reportedly, the series will be running with eight episodes. Star Wars: The Acolyte has no release date yet but it is expected to arrive sometime in Summer 2023.
