Appearing on John Rocha’s The Hot Mic show (via Star Wars News Net), insider Jeff Sneider claims that despite the recent film drought the franchise is experiencing, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has already laid out a five-year plan for Star Wars films with the next big screen project offering set to premiere in 2025.Sneider also said that there was a conscious decision on Lucasfilm’s part to pivot towards streaming for a while, a move that proved to be a great call but the company has long figured out its film slate for Star Wars.Also Read: Star Wars Fans Believe Bob Iger’s Disney Return will Once Again Ruin FranchiseAs it stands, Lucasfilm has yet to confirm what film project fans can expect in 2025. However, speculation is running high as of late that it will be the post-sequel trilogy film helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy with Damon Lindelof serving as co-writer. With Disney welcoming former CEO Bob Iger back to the fold to replace Bob Chapek, there has been concern within the fandom regarding the future of Star Wars.
