Meanwhile, the trailer also features a look at a dangerous new enemy that the family will face. And of course, the trailer shows off Yor in action-packed scenes, complete with new meme-worthy Anya faces.
Spy x Family is an anime series by Wit Studio and Cloverworks that’s based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuya Endo. The anime is a split-cour series, with the first 12 episodes airing in the Spring 2022 season. As for Part 2, Episode 13 will premiere on October 1 at 11:30 PM Japan time. Its story follows Twilight, a Westalian spy who is tasked to help prevent a war between Westalis and neighboring country Ostania. As part of his mission, Twilight takes on the alias of Loid Forger, adopts the orphan Anya, and marries city hall clerk Yor Briar. Unbeknownst to him, Yor Briar is secretly a deadly assassin. Meanwhile, Anya is a telepath, making her the only one aware of their fake family’s true identities.
As with most anime shows, Spy x Family Part 2 will get a new opening theme starting with Episode 13. The new song is entitled “SOUVENIR” by the Japanese rock band Bump of Chicken. The song is previewed in the latest trailer, though the actual opening credits have yet to be released. Spy x Family Part 2 begins with Episode 13, and it is expected to release on Crunchyroll shortly after each episode’s broadcast in Japan.
