Sk8 the Infinity is an original anime that follows Reki, a second-year high school student who loves skateboarding, and gets caught up in “S,” an underground and dangerous skateboard race with no rules at an abandoned mine. When Reki meets Langa, a boy who has returned to Japan from Canada and has never skateboarded before, the new transfer student also gets wrapped up in S and they compete in a “youth skateboard race battle.” Since its release in 2021, the anime has spawned a manga spin-off titled Sk8 Chill Out! which was serialized on the Young Ace Up manga website and a manga adaptation was released as well. Sk8 the Infinity Season 2 and the OVA have not yet been given official release dates.
