In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, head writer and executive producer Jessica Gao revealed that they originally planned to feature The Leader (played by Tim Blake Nelson in The Incredible Hulk) in the series. However, as we all know, the character didn’t end up making any kind of appearance. “In my original pitch, I did have The Leader in there. Just as an option, as a suggestion, you know? But really, I can’t remember why [it was scrapped]. I don’t remember if it was organically taken out, because we just came up with other stuff, or if we were told no. I honestly don’t remember,” Gao said.

“But there was thought about either bringing him back or doing some version of a new version of Leader, or some relation to him. But, I mean truly, this was three years ago, and the show has evolved so much that I don’t remember what actually happened.” Fortunately, despite the exclusion in the recent series, The Leader is now set to make his official MCU comeback in Captain America: New World Order with Nelson reprising the role. He is expected to be the main villain in the film, a path that was set up back in the events of The Incredible Hulk. During the series’ run, there are fans who were speculating that The Leader will show up as the true mastermind behind Intelligencia’s plot to get She-Hulk’s blood. Obviously, it didn’t end up happening and the character still remains to be absent in the MCU as of this time. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is streaming on Disney+. Captain America: New World Order is slated for release in theaters on May 3, 2024. You can check more details about it here.
