While the Ms. Marvel series did a different take by showing how big of an Avengers fan Kamala Khan was, the She-Hulk series takes it to another level thanks to Hulk being one of the OG Avengers. Fans were already shown a connection between Thor: Ragnarok when the official clip of She-Hulk showed a Sakaaran ship coming face-to-face with Jennifer Walters and Bruce Banner.

That same scene also teased the question of whether Steve Rogers was a virgin in the MCU, with a lot of fans getting a hilarious answer in the post-credits scene of the first episode, along with another near-MCU F-bomb.
But of course, in a show which heavily focused on Bruce Banner and the Hulk, the show would not miss the chance to mention his relationship with the MCU’s late Natasha Romanoff, played by Scarlett Johansson. The first episode of She-Hulk didn’t disappoint, as a key moment in Hulk’s development came in a conversation between Jen and Bruce after their car accident.
After Jennifer Walters became She-Hulk in Bruce Banner’s lab, she questioned Bruce how he would change back from his Hulk body into his human body before they were able to join together. Their conversation then led back to a reference to Avengers: Age of Ultron, in which Natasha Romanoff would say to Bruce “Hey, big guy, sun’s getting real low.” This was known as a lullaby, which became a consistent part of Hulk’s story arc in the MCU.
“Well, usually I fall out of a jet or I get knocked out by a robot and wake up as Banner. Or, Natasha, for a little while, would tell me a lullaby,” Banner told Jen. Banner also came to terms with the fact that there wasn’t “a great explanation” for how it actually changed Bruce back from the Hulk, leaving it an unsolved mystery in the MCU:
Jennifer Walters: “Walk me through how that worked again.” Bruce Banner: “I don’t have a great explanation for it.
This same lullaby was also referenced in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok when Thor was fighting the Hulk on Sakaar as a part of the gladiator-style tournament of the Grandmaster. During that time, Thor didn’t know that the Hulk had been the dominant personality for two year, and when he tried the lullaby, he ended up with a Loki-style beatdown before they continued the fight.
The first episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is available to stream on Disney+.
