Now, Levy took to Twitter to double down on the comments that he made regarding the Stranger Things and Deadpool crossover plans to which he clarified that no such plans are actually being made and he was only joking about it during the interview. “Wade Wilson can’t stand the sight of blood, unless it’s his own or his enemies. Nose- bleeds are a hard Pass. No DP/ST crossover coming, folks. Sorry my dumb joke led to misleading headlines,” the director wrote in his tweet.

It looks like we can now put aside the idea of a crossover between the two properties which should relieve a lot of fans who were confused and baffled by the comments that Levy made. After all, it is beyond impossibility to really pull off a crossover considering that they’re both distinct and have a vastly different tones. While a crossover between the two properties will no longer happen, it doesn’t mean that they can still do it through some sort of social media content that can go viral or in an advertisement. Considering that Levy is involved in both, who knows, they’ll try to play with the idea now that it’s out there.
