However, it looks like Cohen’s rumored casting in the series might actually be true now according to a recent report from Deadline, which confirmed that there are talks on the set of Ironheart that the actor is part of the series, most likely playing Mephisto. They also revealed that he has also been spotted at the Marvel facilities in Pinewood Studios in the UK. While the report did not definitively say that Cohen has been cast to play Mephisto in the MCU, it is a strong indication that the rumor is true. The report also added that, if the casting is true, the actor is expected to appear in other projects which may include Agatha: Coven of Chaos.
Ever since WandaVision aired, there have been speculations that Mephisto will show up in the MCU, with most fans even assuming that the character was behind the events of the series although that wasn’t the case. Until now, there are hopes that the character will show up soon. If Cohen does end up getting confirmed as now being part of the MCU, it is yet again another high-profile actor that Marvel has cast and it is interesting to see if he’ll do it physically or perform instead through voice or motion capture. Considering that the actor is also known as a comedian, there is also curiosity about whether he will do it in a comedic tone or do it more serious which is something that Cohen has also done in some of his films in the past. For now, let’s just wait and see for actual confirmation from Marvel regarding this potential casting. Also Read: Marvel ‘Replaces’ Samuel L.
