RELATED: Rick Riordan Announces New Percy Jackson and The Olympians Novel

Through a Good Reads question and answer portion, Riordan responds to a fan wanting to find out if there is ever any possibility of Disney to adapt the sequel series. To that, the author reiterates it’s far too early, seeing as the reboot adaptation has yet to air anytime soon. Check out their conversation below:

Seeing as the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV show has yet to get its release window, I would have to agree it’s too early to tell if Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo would get the same treatment. It would depend on the streaming performance of the initial series first, which I do not doubt will certainly spark instant nostalgia and instant popularity upon its release.

However, Rick Riordan did previously claim that the franchise will hopefully get a one season adaptation for every book, which would “give us time to do justice to the entire story” as opposed to its initial movie installments where they had to cut multiple book-accurate scenes to fit the limited timeline for a film. For now, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on this story. You can also check more information and updates here from time to time.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV series is expected to arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2024.
