The former DCEU actor alleged that Gunn deleted his tweet before taking his position at DC Studios and called his act on the social media platform “fake grace.” “The way @JamesGunn uses fake grace on Twitter is really funny. Him going to bat for Joss Whedon, pseudo-apologizing for it, and then deleting it immediately before taking his new DC job is not. Refusing to apologize for toxic behavior seems to be a job requirement for WB/DC,” Fisher wrote.

Shortly after Fisher posted his tweet, some fans were quick to point out to the actor that the DC Studios co-chairman automatically deletes his tweets after a significant amount of time which is why his apology now appears to be deleted. Hours later, Gunn himself responded to Fisher’s tweet where he confirmed that his tweets get deleted every few months and the deleted apology tweet has “nothing to do” with the actor. “ALL my tweets automatically delete every few months, Ray, it has nothing to do with my tweets to you,” Gunn wrote.

So far, Fisher has not responded back to Gunn’s reply to his tweet, which is still up as of the time that this article was being written. It is great to see that Gunn responded to the actor in a peaceful manner and clarified that his old tweets get deleted months after they’re posted. It should be a reminder for a lot of fans if ever a similar situation happens when they encounter another deleted old tweet in Gunn’s Twitter profile. For the past few weeks, Gunn has been very active on Twitter as he responded to different fan inquiries regarding his plans for the new DCU franchise as well as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. He has also disputed some of the rumors and announced some plans about their current plans. Also Read: The Rock Addresses Reports Claiming Henry Cavill Severed Ties with Manager
