The announcement was made recently via the event’s official website. There, info about the full lineup for the event was revealed, along with the activities to expect both in-person and online for those who can’t attend the event physically. Jump Festa has been happening since December 1999, with the event shifting to a fully online expo in December 2020 due to the pandemic. Starting last year though, Jump Festa returned with an in-person event, though the online component was kept.
Given that this year’s event will also feature livestreams for those at home, fans can expect to see some (but not all) stage events from the comfort of their own home. One of the highlights of the upcoming expo is the One Piece stage event that will take place on the main Jump Super Stage. While there’s no word yet on what will be shared, it’s possible that new projects will be announced there. Among the most likely showcases at the Jump Festa 2023 stage event is One Piece Odyssey, the next video game in the franchise that is set to release on PC and consoles in January 2023. Meanwhile, the Spy x Family stage event will also happen on the Jump Super Stage. Similar to the One Piece event, there’s no word yet on what to expect when it comes to the Spy x Family presentation. Given its popularity and the increasing number of collaborations, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more crossovers with the series. A next season might also be possible, but there’s likely not enough source material yet for another season.
