Here’s What Happened Before One Piece Chapter 1069
One Piece Chapter 1068 is titled A Genius’ Dream, and the cover depicts Caesar and Judge fighting each other while remembering their past. The chapter starts with Pythagoras giving the Cipher Pol 0 instructions about the Seraphim Kuma they need to return to the island. Pythagoras convinces Cipher Pol 0 (CP0) that their mission is complete after they instruct the seraphim to make their own way to the island rather than delivering it themselves. In response, Cipher Pol 0, particularly Kaku, requests at least some tea after their long voyage at sea, but Pythagoras refuses, stating that they will receive a warmer welcome on G-14 instead. Rob Lucci joins the conversation and inquires about Pythagoras’ comments on the recent disappearances at Egghead Island which included the CP5, CP7, and CP8 vessels. He also asked Pythagoras why not a single government ship had returned after visiting Dr. Vegapunk in the previous two months, to which Pythagoras replied that he had witnessed the missing vessels safely departing from the island. To Pythagoras’ chagrin, an enraged Lilith interjected, saying that CP0 can see for themselves if they have sunk all the government ships on the island. Pythagoras, however, refuses to allow CP0 to dock at Egghead Island and instead requests that they return to the sea. Rob Lucci, on the other hand, has a different plan of infiltration. He orders his men to abandon the ship and have it destroyed by the mechanized sea beasts, as they will be using the agility of the Seraphim Kuma to get everyone on the island instead. Meanwhile, on Momoiro Island, the Revolutionary Army attempts to apprehend Bartholomew Kuma, who, much to Dragon’s surprise, uses his devil fruit powers to warp off the island. Dr. Vegapunk, who is in the Egghead Island scrapyard, wishes to leave the island and join Luffy and the others. He informs everyone that he must persevere in order to change the world through science by making free energy available to everyone. For Dr. Vegapunk, this will mean they will never see another conflict between nations over free energy. While Luffy cannot understand Dr. Vegapunk’s motivation for leaving the island, the latter believes that his quest to better understand energy led him to investigate the ancient fuel that powered the mechanical robot in front of them. Furthermore, Dr. Vegapunk’s curiosity drove him to investigate the Void Century’s forbidden thread in order to learn the truth. After further investigation, the World Government has come for his life, just as they did for Ohara. Jinbe and the others then hear an explosion, which Dr. Vegapunk believes was caused by Cipher Pol 0’s infiltration. Luffy confuses CP0 with CP9, but Jinbe clarifies that it is a division that stands out from the rest because its members have historically been forerunners of disaster. The Cipher Pol 0 arrives at Fabriophase after landing and abandoning the ship using Seraphim Kuma’s Paw Paw Powers. As a result, Shaka is forced to fight, given that CP0 willingly sacrifices their ship and uses the seraphim’s powers to attack Egghead Island. Shaka gives the order to evacuate all of the researchers and workers while directing Atlas to the lab. He also informs everyone that other seraphims, such as Snake, Hawk, and Shark, will be deployed under Sentomaru’s command. Back at the scrapyard, Luffy only lets Dr. Vegapunk join the Straw Hats because he has a funny head. As they prepare to leave Egghead Island, they both agree to return to the lab stratum above the clouds with Bonney. CP0, on the other hand, is preoccupied with fighting the sea beasts, particularly Kaku, who employs his tempest kick until Stussy reveals that the beasts are holograms. Kaku goes up to the cloud to see if Vegapunk is there, but Stussy reveals that whenever an enemy target crosses those two lines, a laser beam is activated to neutralize the threat. As a result, Kaku is struck by the laser beam of the Frontier Dome. Vegapunk Atlas appears out of nowhere, declaring that she is the only one permitted to rampage on the island. Rob Lucci transforms into his hybrid form and attacks Atlas with his Six King Pistol Rokugan, destroying half of her face before Shaka can stop Atlas from fighting the CP0. Atlas collapses on the ground, barely alive, as all of the researchers begin evacuating in accordance with Shaka’s orders. Before the chapter ends, Luffy and the others reach the top, and Luffy and Lucci exchange glances. READ MORE: Is the One Piece Manga Better than the Anime?
