As always, leaks of new manga chapters get shared online every week, typically a few days before the official release. First, details get shared, followed by raw manga scans. In this case, the latest One Piece chapter details have been leaked, though there seem to be no raw scans yet. Expect to see them soon though, so it’s better to be vigilant on social media if you want to avoid them. Spoiler Warning: There are possible One Piece Chapter 1065 spoilers in this article.
Seraphim Jinbe vs. The Straw Hat Crew
The chapter opens with a color spread that’s dedicated to One Piece Film: Red. As for the actual chapter events, it begins with the reveal of Seraphim Jinbe as he attacks Nami, Sanji, and company. In case you need a refresher, Seraphim are the new Pacifista units by the Marines which are built to replace the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Aside from being strong, each Seraphim features the likeness of a former Warlord, albeit in their child forms and with Lunarian traits such as wings. Lunarians are a near-extinct race of which King is a part of (the right-hand man of Kaido). Seraphim Jinbe attacks the crew, and Nami, Usopp, Robin, and Franky retaliate, but they don’t make a dent in the Seraphim. Sanji also goes on the offensive, but it seems his power is still not enough. The group is saved by three more Vegapunk models: Edison, Pythagoras, and York. The first two are robots while York is revealed to be a glutton. YOU MIGHT LIKE: All One Piece Warlords Ranked
Is the World of One Piece Post-apocalyptic?
While the focus of the chapter is Seraphim Jinbe, it also reveals that Egghead is not the island of the future. Instead, its technology is actually from an ancient kingdom. At the end of the chapter, Luffy’s group finds some ancient robots. Based on this, it is possible that an apocalyptic event happened hundreds of years ago that wiped out a previously technologically advanced civilization. This event just might be what happened during the Void Century. Of course, it’s too early to theorize, especially as these leaks are not 100% confirmed, so it’ll be better to wait for the official release before forming in-depth theories. It seems like the events of One Piece are continuing to heat up, so better stay tuned to the next chapter’s release this weekend on Manga Plus internationally.
