Spoiler Warning: There are spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1060 in this article. In case you need a refresher, the latest One Piece chapter showed the mysterious Imu putting an X on the kingdom of Lulusia on a map. Shortly after, it was shown that Lulusia has been utterly destroyed by destructive beams from the sky.
The chapter did not reveal anything about how Imu was able to summon this, but many fans believe that this is the reveal of Uranus, one of the three ancient weapons. There are many theories as to why the destruction was caused by Uranus. For one, the ancient weapons are each named after a particular deity. The first is Pluton, a fearsome battleship named after the god of the underworld. This makes sense as Pluton is believed to be located underneath Mt. Fuji in Wano. The next weapon is Poseidon, named after the god of the sea, and it is a mermaid who can summon the powerful Sea Kings. Currently, Poseidon is none other than Princess Shirahoshi of the Ryugu Kingdom, as revealed in the Fish-Man Island arc. Finally, Uranus is the last ancient weapon in One Piece that hasn’t been explored yet, but given that its name refers to the god of the sky, it’s likely that this weapon is in the skies. This fact, coupled with Doflamingo telling Magellan about how the World Government has a secret treasure, likely means that the Government controls Uranus and uses it to destroy entire islands, as shown in the destruction of Lulusia. Aside from discussions about the possible Uranus reveal, there are now more in-depth theories about the three ancient weapons. Specifically, a Reddit user shared a theory about how each weapon is strong to one and weak to another, sort of like rock-paper-scissors. The theory further explains that it’s likely that each weapon will be under the control of one of three factions: Uranus with the World Government, Pluton with the Straw Hat Pirates, and Poseidon with the Blackbeard Pirates. If this turns out to be the case, it will be interesting to see how the story unfolds. Whatever the case may be, the final saga’s events will likely shake the fanbase with more plot reveals.
