In My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex Episode 2, My Ex Needs Taking Care Of “Thirty-Eight Degrees, Apparently, Kaguro Kawanami approaches Mizuto offering himself to be a friend and without any intention of just getting close to Yume. While at the school’s fitness exams, Yume pushes herself too hard trying to keep up with Akatsuki Minami who is really good at sports. Yume faints and Mizuto catches her in time. While at the clinic, Yume requests Akatsuki to keep it a secret that she is really not good at sports and there, they become friends. Yume gets a fever and Akatsuki, being a new friend, wants to visit her so she tells Mizuto to bring her to Yume. Yume, still high with fever, almost said something embarrassing but seeing Akatsuki stops her from doing so. Akatsuki observes and she may have already figured out that Yume and Mizuto used to date, which would be really awkward now that they are step-siblings. Mizuto denies it, however, only when Mizuto holds Yume’s hand could she fall asleep. After that, Mizuto takes Yume’s temperature only to see she’s already fine but she just wanted to be taken care of.
