In this practical, the male-female pairs have to live together as a couple, and everyone in the class is worried about it. In More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers Episode 1, titled Living in the Same Place but Not Living Together, Akari, who is in love with Minami Tenjin, wanted to partner with him for the marriage practical. Meanwhile, Jirou was nervous because the only girl he could talk to was his childhood friend and first love – Shiori Sakurazaka. The rules of the marriage practical involve students living as a pair with their partners in the training dorm. There are sensors installed in the living room that will continuously monitor their lifestyles and actions. Meanwhile, Shiori was asked to perform the practical with Minami. Jirou and Akari were shattered as they started living together as a mock couple, but eventually, they figured out a way. If Jirou and Akari can secure a high ranking, they can choose to swap their partners. Despite a plan in place, they had a rocky start with -3 points on the board. They realized they needed to fake it and score as many points as they can. Akari tried to seduce Jirou and he almost gave in. At one point, they even kissed each other. Meanwhile, Jirou was constantly thinking about Shiori and Minami. Jirou was on the verge of giving up but Akari reminded him that he cannot give up for her sake and his. The episode ended with Jirou and Akari sharing a tender moment while having dinner.
