RELATED: Daredevil: Born Again Reportedly Adds The Many Saints of Newark Star Michael Gandolfini
According to Deadline, while Michael Gandolfini’s role is being kept under wraps, there have been speculations circulating about him playing a pretty major role as ‘an ambitious guy’ from Staten Island whose name is Liam. Although both Marvel Studios and the actor have yet to make official statements surrounding this, it is safe to assume that Michael is setting off with a big step forward in his acting career.
Michael Gandolfini has also played roles in Paramount+ series The Offer, in the feature film Cherry alongside Tom Holland, and will also be starring in the upcoming Apple TV’s Extrapolations. Recently, the actor has wrapped production on Susanna Fogel’s Cat Person, Ari Aster’s Disappointment Blvd., and Cori Finley’s Landscape with Invisible Hand. Clearly, Michael’s schedule is being kept tight, but a good decision to join the MCU reboot.
The Daredevil reboot was confirmed in an announcement made back in May 19, 2022, where show creators Matt Corman and Chris Ord are writing and executive producing the TV series. The reboot will not be a continuation of the previously canceled Daredevil Netflix show, but will still be featuring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, the Man Without Fear and Vincent D’Onofrio reprising his role as Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin. No news confirmation yet on Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page return, though.
Daredevil: Born Again is slated for release with 18 episodes in Spring 2024 with no exact date yet. But you can read updates on this story here.
