Speaking with ExtraTV, Michael B. Jordan discussed his incoming directorial debut of Creed III, while also addressing his possible return in the MCU. Like many other beloved MCU actors fans want to see back in the MCU, Jordan explains he would love to come back if ever the opportunity arises for his character. You can watch his interview below:
Although he did reprise his role as Killmonger in the Disney+ series, What If…? where his existence (even after his death) was possible due to the multiverse, if Killmonger were to return to the MCU, it would probably not be the best idea canonically to the MCU plot. If he were to take the role of king of Wakanda from T’Challa, who is no longer part of the MCU, that would only drag T’Challa’s name through the dirt.
Meanwhile, Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut, Creed 3, starring Jonathan Majors (Kang the Conqueror) and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) premieres on March 3, 2023. Also Read: Black Panther’s Michael B. Jordan Releases Directorial Debut, Creed III, with Co-stars Jonathan Majors and Tessa Thompson
