While Alba did clarify that the problem is with Hollywood in general, she still thinks that Marvel’s set of actors isn’t diverse enough. She told Glamour UK: “Even if you look at the Marvel movies – that’s the biggest driver of fantasy and what’s happening right now in entertainment, because it’s sort of the family thing – it’s still quite white. I would say I was one of the few back in the day… And it was before Marvel was sold to Disney… but it’s still quite… more of the same.“On Twitter, Alba’s comments raised a number of eyebrows and most fans don’t like the way she seemingly ignored several heroes who are played by people of color.
