Fans of the highly anticipated X-Men reboot were hoping that D23 would serve as the platform for some much-needed news surrounding the mutants’ MCU debut but no announcements were made. Now, according to a new report, it looks like Feige and his crew aren’t in a hurry to incorporate the likes of Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm into the billion-dollar franchise.Deadline’s Justin Kroll shared on Twitter that the studio’s X-Men project is still years away, meaning no casting decisions have been made. He also said that the film “isn’t happening for a very long time” and as it stands, Feige has yet to tap the project’s screenwriter and director.
