According to reporter Jeff Sneider in his The Hot Mic podcast, Marvel Studios is currently developing a Disney+ series centering on The Vision titled Vision Quest. He also added that the studio is opening a writer’s room for the series next week which suggests that work is already underway for the project. However, he didn’t reveal any details regarding the plot or whether it will follow the comic storyline of the same name. Marvel has also not confirmed any of these details and whether this is already slated as part of one of the upcoming phases. It is also unknown if Paul Bettany already signed on to the project.

In case you’re not familiar with the comic storyline that originated in the West Coast Avengers comics (via Marvel.com), the story sees the Vision receive a startling transformation after he is kidnapped, has his memory wiped, and discovers the true (and tragic) nature of his children with Scarlet Witch. Considering that the storyline was already loosely adapted in WandaVision, there is a likelihood that this series won’t exactly follow the same story as the comics and they only used the title for The Vision’s own solo adventure in the MCU. Given that Marvel has yet to address The Vision’s exact fate following the events of WandaVision, it is exciting to hear that they will be doing this series to finally show us what’s next for the character and give us more idea about what this new Vision looks like. It would be interesting to see if he’ll end up crossing paths with Wanda Maximoff during the course of the series.
