Speaking recently with Lifehacker, head writer Jessica Gao discussed the return of Daredevil in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and shared that they were given a lot of freedom by Marvel Studios in terms of how they are incorporating the character into the story of the series.

“Usually how they do it is they kind of let us propose what we want to do rather than give us guidelines,” Gao said. “When they first told us that [Daredevil] was a possibility we just couldn’t believe it. And as we were coming up with story and what we wanted him to do, the fact that they kept not saying no was shocking to us.”

However, there was one demand that Marvel Studios had with Daredevil’s appearance in the series which is control over his costume in the series. As teased by the trailer, the character will be sporting a yellow suit instead of the red one in his former solo series.

“The one thing that I didn’t have control of was the suit. They knew exactly what they wanted the suit to look like,” Gao added.

Despite the one notable restriction that they have incorporating Daredevil into the series, it looks like the writing team was still able to figure out a great way to include him in the story and that alone is exciting enough to see what they have in store for his highly-anticipated return in the series.
