Netflix’s Lupin Season 3 Release Date: When Will the Third Season of Lupin Come Out?
There is still no official release date for Lupin Season 3. Stay on the lookout though; we will update this page as soon as we hear news about the update. The series’ first season was released on January 2021, while the second part was released around June of the same year.
When was Lupin Season 3 Announced?
Lupin star Omar Sy Tweeted on May 12, 2021 (in French, of course), confirming that the series was renewed for a third season.
When Did Lupin Season 3 start production?
Omar Sy likes to keep Lupin fans updated. He posted a photo on his social media pages on November 19, 2021, confirming that the series is back in production for season 3. He wrote:

At this point, Lupin will not be Lupin without Omar Sy, mainly because his portrayal of Lupin was so iconic and memorable. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Omar talked about how being Lupin was his dream role.
Lupin’s Family
We may also see Lupin’s family return in season 3, with Luduvine Sagnier still playing Lupin’s romantic partner Claire and Etan Simon as their son, Raoul. Antoine Gouy will still play Assane’s best friend, Benjamin, along with Fargass Assande, who may return as Assane’s father appearing in flashbacks.
The Police Chasing After Lupin
Soufiane Guerrab may appear as detective Guedira with Shirine Boutella as Sofia Belkacem and Vincent Londez as Capitaine Romain Laugier. Other members of the police force may also return with Herve Pierre as Hubert Pellegrini and Vincent Garanger as commissioner Gabriel Dumont, though we see them handcuffed in the back of police cars in the final episode of season 2.
Lupin Season 3 Crew: Who are the Creatives Behind the Scenes?
The series was created by George Kay inspired by the characters and stories created by Maurice Leblanc. Writers from previous seasons may also return to pen the screenplay of Lupin, like Francois Uzan, Florent Meye, Tigran Rosine, and Marie Roussin.
Lupin Season 3 Plot: What Will be the Plot of the Third Lupin Season?
Lupin Season 2 ended with Assane finally exposing Pellegrini’s crimes and restoring his father’s name. Authorities apprehended Pellegrini and his accomplices, but despite having solid pieces of evidence against him, we cannot be sure that he will stay in jail for long. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sy said we could never be sure with Pellegrini. It depends on what’s gonna happen next for Pellegrini and everybody else, and even for him. Because it’s not completely finished. He’s done most of the work, but it’s not completely finished. When episode 10 finished, there were still some questions that we didn’t have answered.
