Wearing matching shirts promoting inclusivity on Middle-earth with ears of human, Hobbit, Elf, and Dwarf, Lord of the Rings alum Elijah Wood who played Frodo Baggins tweeted a photo with the caption, “You are all welcome here,” posing alongside Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan. (Pippin and Merry) Sean Astin who played Samwise Gamgee also had the same caption in his own tweet wearing the same design on the shirts of Wood, Boyd, and Monaghan but this time, it’s on a baseball cap.
Cast members of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power showed their gratitude to the support of The Lord of the Rings movie actors through replying. Owain Arthur said, “Proper fellowship. Thank you lads.” Benjamin Walker also expressed his thanks. Ismael Cruz-Cordova, who has been a subject of the racist backlash being a Black Puerto Rican playing an elf, feels the support of The Lord of the Rings movie actors replying, “Much love.”

The cast of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power already released a statement on Twitter saying, “Our world has never been all white, fantasy has never been all white, Middle-earth is not all white. BIPOC belong in Middle-earth and they are here to stay.”
