The official trailer of Lookism has been released during Netflix TUDUM over the weekend for the anime adaptation of the Park Tae-joon’s South Korean webtoon of the same name. The official poster and release date of the series were also unveiled. The Japanese-Korean anime adaptation of Lookism on Netflix is brought to life by the studio that brought DOTA: Dragon’s Blood and The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and the theme song of the show is also highlighted in the trailer which is performed by Ateez. Lookism features the story of Park Hyung Seok who was bullied in school for being overweight. He dreads his appearance but one day, he got the ability to “soul hop” into the body of an attractive young man who is slimmer and taller. His ability, however, has its limits. He could turn into the attractive guy during the day but he must return to his original body by night. As he gets through his transformation, he starts seeing how people are discriminative when it comes to physical appearance.

Park Hyung Seok becomes a model for a clothing line, an entertainment company trainee, and a social media influencer, but that all changes when reality hits back on him hard at night. Lookism is written and illustrated by Park Tae-joon as a drama webtoon published by Daewon and Book through Naver Webtoon in South Korea, LINE manga in Japan, and Webtoon in the US.
