“I don’t think he needs any advice,” Lerman says, indicating how talented Scobell is on his own, “The kid’s really talented. The only advice I can give him is just to enjoy it while you’re doing it.”
The original Percy Jackson actor recalls the time he was younger when playing the titular role, reiterating Scobell should simply enjoy working there and to trust his guts all the same. Check out Lerman’s full quote below:
On that note, Lerman continues on to say he has high hopes for the Percy Jackson and the Olympians reboot, “I just think this adaptation is going to be great. I think the actors are so good and the creative team is great. Obviously, it’s Rick Riordan.” The actor even expresses his interest on how the reboot will turn out, “It’s going to be exactly what it should be and I hope the fans like it. I’ll definitely watch it. I’m curious to see what they do with it. I have no doubt that it’s going to be great.”
Given how Walker Scobell had performed amazingly as the young Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project, it is safe to assume he’ll be nailing his Percy Jackson role, as well. We’ll be seeing him along with Leah Jeffries as Annabeth Chase and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood on Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV series, which is expected to arrive on Disney+ in early 2024.
