Undead Unluck Manga – One of Shonen Jump’s Recent Hits
Undead Unluck is an anime series that’s based on the manga of the same name by Yoshifumi Tozuka. The ongoing manga started serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump back in January 2020. The series follows Fuuko Izumo, a young girl who has been living alone because of her “unluck” ability that brings bad luck to anyone that she touches. She has lived by herself for 10 years after an incident involving her left over 200 people dead. She finds a reason to live in her favorite manga series, but after it ends, Fuuko decides to end her life. But before she can do so, she is stopped by a strange man named Andy, who has a mysterious power that prevents him from dying. They decide to work together, but they soon find themselves being chased by a mysterious organization. As one of Shonen Jump’s popular recent titles, it was announced that the series is getting an anime series adaptation by David Production, the studio behind hits such as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and the Urusei Yatsura remake. The TV anime was officially announced in August 2022 and is set to premiere next year. While not a lot of info was announced during its reveal, the anime did get its first key visual that features the main characters, Fuuko and Andy.
