The first key visual for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was shared last weekend and it confirms that the anime will adapt the manga’s Gojo’s Past arc as it features Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieri as second-year students of Tokyo Jujutsu High. Interestingly, the release of the key visual was followed by a new countdown being launched on the Jujutsu Kaisen website. Although fans were initially confused as to what the countdown is all about, many assumed that it had something to do with Season 2.
Soon, it was pointed out that the countdown will end on September 24, 2022, at 7:55 PM JST. That’s roughly about the time when the Jujutsu Kaisen cast is expected to take the stage at TOHO Animation’s 10th Anniversary Event. So what could we possibly expect from Jujutsu Kaisen at TOHO Animation’s 10th Anniversary Event? There is a huge possibility that there will be an update on Season 2. Fans are hoping that the release date will finally be announced along with a trailer showcasing some key moments from the second season. There is little doubt that fans are already looking forward to meeting Gojo as a student of Tokyo Jujutsu High. For now, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has not yet been given an official 2023 release date. However, there is a possibility that this will be announced in the next few weeks. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
