Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Drops Teaser, New Character Designs
The teaser for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was dropped during Jump Festa 2023 where the anime had a special panel. Although it only features footage from Jujutsu Kaisen 0 depicting the young Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieri, we also get character introductions for Riko Amanai and Toji Fushiguro. The two new characters are set to play a major role in the Gojo’s Past arc which looks back at what happened when he was still a student. We won’t spoil anything here for anime-only fans but it’s going to be an interesting glimpse at what Gojo was like as a teenager.
At this point, people are thrilled about the second season but everyone seems to be more excited about Toji Fushiguro’s arrival, especially if he’s looking like that in the show.
Toji, as the last name implies, is connected to Megumi Fushiguro. He was briefly referenced in the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen when Megumi recalled his own backstory and first meeting with Gojo. Needless to say, Toji and Gojo have history together and we’ll get to see what that means in Season 2. In addition to adapting the Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu arc, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will explore the dreaded Shibuya Incident arc. Although the season’s episode count has not yet been announced, there is a huge chance that these are the only story arcs that will be adapted. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date. However, the anime is already expected to return in July 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
