Crunchyroll confirms that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is joining the streamer’s roster later this month. The other new titles include Odd Taxi In the Woods, the Psycho-Pass films, the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion movies, The Girl Who Lept Through Time, Sword of the Stranger and Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic. The movies will be available on Crunchyroll starting September 8, with JJK0 being released on September 21.
There is little doubt that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has been a huge success since it premiered in Japanese theaters back in December. The film was a box office hit in Japan and in several territories following its international release. It was recently reported that the anime movie has now reached US$183,310,489 in total, allowing it to rise up to become the 8th highest-grossing anime film of all time. At this point, JJK0 has overtaken Pokemon: The First Movie and is rapidly catching up with Stand by Me Doraemon. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is based on Gege Akutami’s manga of the same name that serves as a prequel to the main manga. It follows Yuta Okkotsu as he enrolls at the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School in an effort to get rid of the powerful curse that used to be his childhood friend. With the help of the powerful sorcerer Satoru Gojo, Yuta learns to accept the curse and how to control it to help others. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 premieres on Crunchyroll on September 21, 2022. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is set to premiere in 2023.
